  • This just isn't going to work. I started a blog for myself thinking this would be my "kid stories" blog and the other would be more for my thoughts and musings, but I realize, I don't have many of those that don't include my kids. So, check out my blog for further updates, and maybe someday William will officially take over this site.

  • Climber Callie

After Callie's nap the other day she was trying to put her leg up over the edge. I told her to put her leg down and I would get her out, but she just kept trying. I put my arms out to pick her up and she moved to the other end of the crib and flung her leg up again. She could get just about over but not quite. So, I again said, get down and I'll help you. She again moved to the other end of the crib. So, I let her. Within a few seconds she had gotten out, bumped her leg a little but that didn't phase her and she yelled, "I did it!!!" She hasn't tried again that I'm aware of.

  • in Callie's words

Callie babbles almost constantly! Sometimes we understand her. This morning while I was changing her diaper she first said, "Don't want this change a biper" and after a bit, when I was almost done she said, "That's enough".

This morning they played with the piece of PVC pipe Jon gave them to race William's cars through. They they went upstairs and moved all the extra blankets and pillows from Callie's big girl bed (that she doesn't use yet) from the bed into William's room on the floor. Then I heard Callie crying a very mad cry, so mad I thought she might actually be hurt. But she wasn't. William had the little Gideon's Bible that she had been carrying around earlier. Luckily we have two!! Problem solved, my kids are now upstairs reading their Bibles...thank you Gideons.

  • I keep not updating because I feel like I have to "catch up". Later I'll add some recent pictures but for now, this.

Callie's new favorite phrase is, " Don't like this" to whatever she doesn't want to do.

This morning I said to her, "you're adorable" and she said, "No, I'm Dora."

Now they are upstairs playing in the sink....excuse me, washing their hands. William told me, "You can go back downstairs so you can leave us alone." So, I did. They can't hurt much, just get a little wet.
